2023 Season Kickoff – SSA Spring Series
The 2023 Annapolis Snipe Fleet season kicked off this past weekend May 13-14 with the SSA Snipe Spring Series. We had a good turnout with 11 boats and a wide variety of racing conditions.
2022 Snipe Junior Worlds
The following are some reflections on the Snipe Junior World Championships by SSA member Trevor Davis. Over the last year, Trevor and his crew Rees Tindall worked really hard on their Worlds program, practicing, sailing many regattas and fundraising to support their campaign. Fleet 532 is proud of their effort and happy to see the positive experiences that resulted.
Annapolis Fleet Wins Road Warriors Award at US Nationals in San Diego
OK, so I just made up that award, but if they had given it, we would have won it! We had 9 teams trek across country from the Annapolis Fleet and they also faired well in the actual awards, with 6 boats in the top 15 (out of 50). Plus the apres sailing was a ton of fun.
Frigid Digit Fall Sailing Paradise
The Frigid Digit had a great turnout for some champagne Annapolis fall sailing conditions. Most of the competitors were local, a testament to the great energy we have in the fleet.

Sailing Conditions: What To Expect In Annapolis
For the 2021 Snipe Nationals we can expect almost any weather conditions, but here are some generalizations about what we might see.
Lots of Energy at the 2020 Frigid Digit/ACCs!
It was a little Frigid and breeze never got out of single Digits at the 2020 Snipe Frigid Digit, but in the world of COVID, it was a fun, crystal clear fall weekend with a great turnout of new and old Snipe sailors alike! Twenty-eight teams competed for the 2020 Atlantic Coast Champion title that was awarded to the winner of the Frigid Digit. Snipe rock stars Ernesto Rodriguez/Kathleen Tocke (Miami) had to work hard in light and variable conditions to beat up-and-coming “Next Gen” Snipe sailors Tyler Mowry/Izzy Fadullon (Annapolis/SSA) in 2nd and Charlie Miller/Lindsey Kloc (Salem MA) in 3rd. Rounding out the top 5 were Noah Zittrer/Watt Duffy (Texas) and Carol Cronin/Kim Couranz (Newport/SSA). Noah Zittrer was also given a special prize for best “First Snipe Regatta” sailor.
SSA Snipe “Fall” Series
This weekend's "Fall" Series had perhaps the best sailing condition of the year so far.
