The DonQ Rum Regatta in Miami was the perfect wrap to the Winter Season with 36 super competitive boats sailing over 3 days of warm and whacky conditions. The regatta provided some gorgeous photos by the talented Hannah Lee Noll. Snipe season in the Mid-Atlantic now starts in earnest with a “Shake off the Cobwebs” Clinic May 11, with coaching by Brady Stagg, as well as TESODs which start today (April 30)! Contact Lisa (lisa@gmail.com) and/or Brady (bradygstagg@gmail.com) if you want to attend the Clinic/Warmup.

The Colonial Cup June 1-2 is the premier Spring Sailing event. Arthur Blodgett will run an optional clinic on Friday afternoon, May 31st. Make sure to sign up at bit.ly/3TzxTbH. Late fee and t-shirt cutoff date is May 6th!
Sign ups are also open for Surf City / ACC’s June 8-9. This regatta defines “Serious Sailing, Serious Fun” – great sailing on the bay and great social+housing at Lee’s compound on the beach (requested donation of $25/pp to cover Lee’s costs). We are also excited to welcome new members to the fleet! Jed Bell, Brown alum, just joined SSA this month and is set to be our next “Lease to Own” (LTO) with Persson 29110. Welcome also to Thomas Walker, who is not new to us, but new as a Supporting Member of SSA. With Robert Vann who bought Arthur’s second boat this winter and Darby Capellin who is bringing her boat up from St. Pete, we are doing a great job of filling the lot!
