Thanks to the hard work of SSA and the compliance of Marylanders to keep our COVID rates low, the Annapolis Snipe Fleet is happy to announce that we will be hosting our annual Frigid Digit on Oct 3-4, 2020. Because we are one of the few venues able to host regattas in the Midatlantic Region, the Frigid Digit has been chosen as the temporary home of the Atlantic Coast Championships (we look forward to going back to Surf City next year!).
Regatta Chairs Rich & Carol McVeigh are using a similar template to our June “COVID-compliant” Colonial Cup (entry cap, no social, Zoom Skippers Meeting, no housing). The resulting regatta fee is very low and only designed to cover fixed regatta costs. SSA also has COVID-specific requirements outlined in the NOR (including face coverings, closed showers, etc). Registration is open on SSA’s new club management platform: https://club.severnsailing.org/event/116 and if registration fills, we encourage hopeful participants to utilize the waitlist option.
