Announcements, Regattas, SSA

Thank You Women’s Nationals Sponsors!

Like everything these days, major regattas are getting more and more expensive to run, so we really rely on Sponsors to provide a high quality event at an inclusive price! Women’s Nationals Co-chairs Devon & Lauren Feusahrens have done a great job reaching out to sponsors. We hope you will support these vendors who have supported us! Big shout out also to Snipe District 1 and key Snipe supporters Phil Richmond, Brett Davis, and Kim Couranz who have donated to Buy A Round at the luau Saturday (click here if you would like to join them in buying a round!) and the Plines for donating the Blender Drinks on Friday.

CBYRA: CBYRA has once again come through for the Snipe Fleet as a media sponsor. Media is such an important component, not only for the regatta, but for the growth of the class that we normally could not afford first class media from folks like Ted Morgan Photography just through entry fees. If you are not already a member of this important organization that promotes sailing on the Chesapeake, click on their link to join! https://cbyra.club/

Raffle Prize Sponsors: Big thanks to Athleta, Harken Derm, and Hummingbird Farm Botanicals for providing substantial prizes to our raffle, as well as Fleet 532 and anonymous donors. You can help turn those donations into the need cash for the regatta by buying raffle tickets (click here) by 6pm Saturday Aug 6th! Prizes include five $50 Athleta gift cards, four SPF skin care gift boxes from Harken Derm, SeaBags Snipe Tote, Coach Wristlet, women’s sized jackets, and Fleet 532 Swag Bag.

Thank You Volunteers! Fleet 532 is lucky to have such a great team of talented volunteers, and no more so than for this regatta. Big thanks to Gavin O’Hare and Bradley Adam for running the Friday clinic, as well as to Arthur Blodgett who will contribute his skills to the Boat Boy team on the water Saturday and Sunday. SCIRA Rep Alex Pline has been doing yeoman’s work getting all the Charters and sails ready. Melissa & Brad Milliken have taken on Housing as well as hosting the Friday Night BBQ. Generous boat owners were also critical for this promotional event – thanks Zack Kelchner, Paul Green (and new owner Bob Adam!), Brett Davis, Chris Ryan, Brady Stagg, Bradley Adam, Eric Reinke, and Plines. Snipe Alum Keith Donald has also volunteered his Beneteau as spectator and beverage boat. We also have several fleet members doing RC duty as well as Marjorie Fuhrman handling Registration. Last but certainly not least, huge kudos to Devon & Lauren Feusahrens for stepping up and going all kinds of extra miles to make it a specail event!
