Congrats to the super fast team of Edgar Diminich & Sophie Taylor who won the ASI “U30” with “picket fences” – all firsts. The 2019 Snipe Junior National Champion is Tyler Mowry w/crew Emily Gilreath who also sailed super consistently, dropping only a 2nd to win the Duffy Trophy (Snipe Junior National Championship) and the Reisinger Trophy (best junior team at the ASI). In a very special outcome, Emily Gilreath was awarded the Gilreath Trophy for Top Junior Crew, donated by her grandfather Harold Gilreath in 1957. Rounding out the Top 3 in the ASI was Zack Kelchner/Kimmie Leonard in 2nd and Charlie Bess / Charlotte Mack in 3rd. Rounding out the Top 3 in the Snipe Junior Nationals were Snipe newcomers Charlie Anderson / Caroline Kelly in 2nd and Emma Aturias/Isa Du Plessis from Ft. Lauderdale in 3rd.
